The Kansas City Family Reunion Festival is a positive event celebrating the enduring strengths, traditional values and Kansas City roots of families of all ethnicities. Most importantly, this event serves as a rallying point for government agencies, private and public sector institutions, corporations, community-based organizations to unify the community for constructive actions around the family. This three-day event presents a program agenda that combines service, information and entertainment.
Forty Acres & A Mule, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that operates the 40 Acres and A Mule Activities Campus. Its mission is to enhance the capacity of existing programs, offer quality and affordable meeting, recreational, educational services and facilities and foster human and organizational growth by promoting positive youth development, family enrichment and activities that help address some of the community's most critical needs. 40 Acres and A Mule Activities Campus engages and reaches out to the community and promotes positive and life enriching experiences.
Because of our experiences and past festival success, we believe we are in the perfect position to broaden our focus and impact the Greater Kansas City area in a more inclusive way. To build upon the momentum of previous city-wide celebrations and to take advantage of the many anniversaries of homegrown businesses, we believe the Kansas City Family Reunion provides a ripe opportunity to celebrate family and the value of having ties to Kansas City.
